Waves Dominate in Extra Innings with 9-6 win over SteepleCats

Zach Plasschaert was named the Waves Player of the Game earning himself two RBIs to help secure the Waves 9-6 win and their third one of the season.
The Waves struck first with three runs in the top of the first to take an early lead over North Adams. However, in the bottom of the fifth, North Adams tied things up to shut down the Waves lead.
North Adams added another two runs to gain their first lead of the night against the Waves.
In the top of the eighth, the Waves cut North Adams lead down to one after Plasschaert was able to score.
A scoreless bottom of the eighth for North Adams left the Waves in search of adding another run to tie the game.
During the ninth inning, Justin Hackett scored following a single from Jack LaRose to tie the game. North Adams was unable to respond in the bottom of the ninth to leave the game tied and send it into extra innings.
In the top of the eleventh, William Mahala gave the Waves a lead after scoring off a sacrifice fly from Adonis Medina. The Waves quickly added to their lead after Plasschaert tripled to bring in LaRose and Charlie Saul.
But the Waves did not stop there. Plasschaert scored following a single from Gavin Marchese to give the Waves a 9-5 lead.
Andrew Jacobs dominated on the mound in the final three innings, preventing the SteepleCats from adding any more than one run to the board.
The Waves will look to continue their winning streak in their matchup against the Newport Gulls on Thursday with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
